Mcnamara's and baseball

Had a great supper with 2 of Angie's men and 2 of my men  last night.  I cooked supper, they slurped it up, then got more, slurped down dessert and crashed in the living room for a movie.  I love seeing them all laugh and have a good time.

This weekend will be a combination of Irish family, food and All-American sports.  Since finding McNamara's in Nashville, we decided to show it to our boys.  But let me explain what a pub is.  In America people naturally associate the word pub with bar.  Not in Ireland.  A pub is family gathering place with grand food, music, craic (Irish word for lots of lively talk and stories) AND where they happen to serve a few "spirits".  Totally different concept there.  Think Applebee's with more personality, better food, live music and LOTS of Ireland.

McNamara's has actually been voted a #1 family friendly atmosphere.  Imagine YOUR house full of your family with lots of laughter food and a live band playing tunes to get your feet to tapping!  THAT is a pub.  In fact, last weekend on of our visits there, a little boy was having a birthday party upstairs at McNamara's.  Lots of family friendly fun and FOOD!

So tonight we will be taking our wee boys to get a dose of Ireland.  I'm excited. Our times in Ireland are among the best times in my memory.  I LOVED being there with my boys.

Then tomorrow we will be watching Debbie's son Garron play ball in Madison.  They live in "the Boro" as Debbie calls it (Scottsboro) and so seeing him play is an effort.  When he is close by, we make sure to go see him continue the Ramsey tradition of running the bases.

God is good, even when our hearts are  breaking.  He provides an outlet somewhere to see smiles and hear laughter.  He is just good like that.

Slainte!
